Routing between VPN road warrior clients01 Jul 2006 00:59 GMT3
A quick query about something that's causing a few problems at work.
We're using a Cisco router (IOS) so that people can connect to our
network using the Cisco VPN client (on Windows).
Is it usually a problem to route between two hosts both connected using
PPTP Client Behind Linksys to PIX VPN with overlapping Private Address01 Jul 2006 00:52 GMT3
I'm like most companies; I use both the 192.168.1.0 and 10.1.1.0
subnets.  Unfortunately, when my coworkers travel or go home they often
get these same addresses from their networks.  Currently we don't have
a good solution to this problem.  If someone could point me in the
Open source network management application similar to CiscoWorks30 Jun 2006 22:49 GMT1
I thought I would share a very useful open source network management
application that we use called NeDi.  You can read about NeDi at:

Cisco PIX 506E with high collisions30 Jun 2006 13:46 GMT1
I was hoping someone could help me with a problem on my Pix.  I am
getting high collisions on my inside and outside interfaces.  The ISP
is also seeing collisions.  The interfaces are set to auto but drop to
10 half duplex.  Does anyone have any ideas on where I should start?
NBAR usage?30 Jun 2006 13:20 GMT2
Is there a limit as to how far you can use NBAR in conjunction with
class-maps and QoS?  I remember reading somewhere that using QoS in
this manner on a slow link like a T1 is okay, but shouldn't be done on
a 45mb DS3.  Is that true?   Does NBAR still allow CEF forwarding or
atm0 going down every five minutes (DSL: Defect: LOS LOF LCDi: retraining)30 Jun 2006 11:16 GMT1
Sorry to re-submit the question, however, I got somewhat further. Our
c836 router loses connection every five minutes. The line is ok, other
modems work fine. Our provider can see no problem. Can this have
something to do with my config? At the moment it is still very simple,

adding an IP to the system portion of an ASA or FWSM30 Jun 2006 05:33 GMT1
Does anyone know if it's possible to add an IP address to the system portion
of an ASA or FWSM for management? I suppose it really doesn't apply to an
FWSM since you session in to it, but since they both operate off the same
basic principal.

WIC-1AM - auto answer question29 Jun 2006 21:42 GMT3
Hello, I have several 1721 routers, each with 56k frame wic and an
analog modem wic (WIC-1AM).  They are configured to dial-on-demand into
our network if the primary frame link goes down.  My question is, and
this is probably easy for someone, how do I disable the auto-answer
Re: Multiple receiving calls on ISDN backup29 Jun 2006 21:40 GMT2
I have 2811 cisco router with 3 leased line and 1 isdn. All three
leased circuits would be using the single ISDN for backup. I know that
you can use different dialer profile to call different numbers for each
circuit (with different ip address and routing). What i want to know
