My 4510 switch stops responding over the weekend. No users in the office that day so no complains about conenctivity. I can't telnet to it, can't ping it. I can ping loopback0 but no telnet allowed though. CDP works fine, can see the switch from the directly connected neighbor

I need to enable HSRP across two core 6513. We need this for two voice gateways so there will be 2 HSRP groups. Most of the cisco documentation I have come across is for MFSC redunancy. Is it better to enable HSRP via VLAN interfaces and add the switch port to the VLAN's

I have many Catalyst switches that I am polling with SNMP. I am trying to find what ports are acting as trunks. On most of the switches it works properly, using vlanTrunkPortDynamicStatus.

Running VMS cluster over 2900XL switch, recently added SAN with 1 Gbit fibre. I note that the 1 Gigabit TCP/IP interface is the same connector as the GBIC modules. Can this be made to talk to a Brocade SAN switch over SC/IP?
