    What is the function of the routed port on the 3550 switch.
1. Do you need to create a  routed port to route between vlans.
2.  Do you need to connect the routed port to the  router in order to route
between vlans.

I want to create an acl to permit traceroute.  But I see two different types
of the icmp commands for traceroute.  Which pair is correct?
   permit icmp any any ttl-exceed
   permit icmp any any port-unreachable

I created an acl and applied to an interface serial 1/0 (main interface to
the outside world).

In a Cisco ACL, are blank lines acceptable? Why do I always see a "!"
instead of a blank line.

Is there a trick to getting AD to function over a router to 3005 VPN?  When
I take out the router and put a pix in its place everything works fine.
With the router the vpn comes up an passes lower level traffice (ping, tftp,
telnet) but AD will not replicate and drive maps do not ...

I can find a third party product that works with the cisco vpn concentrator
only, any news about something that works with pix and/or ios?
