I am in the process of remodeling my store, and running new network
wiring. I have a total of 12 drops, and each drop is 4 cables. (Each
network location will have 4 rj45 jacks.)
Here's a diagram: (the trianles with the 4 in them are the network

    Help a new guy out. I'm about to terminate 41 ports on a 48 port patch
panel and am looking for advice on making it a nice and neat looking
job. Realizing that there is no substitute for experience here is where

Can some people chime in as to whether or not patch cables are the same
as crossover cables? Are they or are they not the same? If you do not
already know the answer I would prefer you not respond. Please do not

Have a client who is wiring desks in a hearing room for real-time
transcription feeds.   The RT feeds are simple serial data, and when you buy
the basic "mobile" hardware it uses flat six-conductor cable, wired straight
through, to RJ-11 or RJ-12 ends.
