I routinly get asked to work on computers in buildings that have pre-war wiring. Two prong receptacles, not many of them, and who-knows-what behind the walls. Of course everything the user wants to hook up requires 3 prong outlets.

I'm in the UK and I have an ADSL-enabled BT line coming in next to the patch panel for a Cat 5e cabled office. Can I extend the ASDL to another part of the office over the Cat 5? I suppose I'd need by the patch panel a BT plug -> RJ45 conversion ..

I have to connect 4 3com superstack switches as one unit. 3 of them are standing in a patch room (no problems) but the fourth one a have to take to a another level in the building. Witch cable do I use (cat5,cat6 or fiber or ????) and how many meters may this cable be?
