How to trace RG59/RG6 cable21 Apr 2004 05:25 GMT2
How do you trace RG cable that's terminated on the other side?  I know you
have to connect your toner to ground, otherwise the ground will shield the
center wire, but if the cable is terminated at the other end all the cables
have a common ground.
Wire Management Question20 Apr 2004 01:13 GMT3
I'm trying to find the name (and source) for the cable management
"rings".  These are plastic or metal and look like a drawer handle.  I
have found some long cable management panels that have these rings build
in, but I'm looking for ones I can mount myself.  I want to use these ...

Am I going to be in trouble with this wiring job?15 Apr 2004 02:21 GMT12
I am in the process of having a new house built and decided to wire up the
house for networking. I am on a tight budget currently (getting married and

I've searched google, but didn't come up with a good answer to a

Is there some rule or standard that advises putting both active and
passive network components in the same rack.  For example, mounting a
network switch and patch panels in the same rack.  Does this create a
potential electrical issue and you should mount them in separate
coaxial F-connector couplers  and frequency09 Apr 2004 01:37 GMT12
I was wondering, are coaxial f-connector couplers rated to a certain
maximum MHz, or dose every coupler couple every frequency being
transmitted on the cables?
thx for the help,
CAT6 couplers09 Apr 2004 00:12 GMT13
I was wondering, do rj45 couplers have to be rated for cat6 for the
cat6 cables plugged into it to work at full strength or will any
coupler couple any frequency (I hope what I just said makes sense :-)
)

Telcom Distribution Question07 Apr 2004 11:10 GMT5
I'm trying to wire my house while I am doing some remodeling.  I've come
up with some questions about the telcom stuff.

Service contracts and data closets cleanup05 Apr 2004 19:42 GMT5
I hooked up with a bigger network integration company as we are trying to come
up with ideas to make some money.  They have a lot of contacts and leads in
the educational market.  I came up with an idea for service contracts for
quarterly cleanups/maintenance of data/voice wiring ...
