So the DCT6200 supports DOCSIS 1.0/1.1 plus it has an ethernet jack on
the back but I can't get a straight answer out of comcast's outsourced
technical support.  The best they can offer me is a link to a list of
mostly out dated cable modems.

I just switched from Comcast to Time Waner; now, of course, my news
server doesn't work because it addresses the newsgroup at Comcast.
Does anyone know what the newsgroup address is for time warner?

I have two computers on a 4 port (wired) router through a cable modem.
The Presario 6420 will not maintain broadband connection if left idle,
