I am looking at speeds for cable, dsl, and T1. I think I have it right based on my reading. But I was not sure if I might be making a mistake about the unit of measure. Does this seem right?

I have a Netgear WGR614 v4 router hooked up to Comcast cable modem (Terayon TJ715). The internet light on my Netgear 614 and the Data light on my Comcast modem are constantly blinking. No other light on my Netgear is blinking so that tells me that no device is accessing

I noticed that the current "on the shelf" Motorola modem is the sb5100 and my ISP has the sb5120. The little bit I could find about the difference is that a different chipset is used in the sb5120. Is the sb5120 an actual replacement for the sb5100 or maybe just a lower cost unit ...

I have a 3 year old Best Data CMX110 cable modem. Recently my ISP upped the connection speed to 6000 Kp/s. I can consistently connect 2300 - 3300 Kp/s. Is one modem better than another? Would a newer modem improve my speed? I realize not all sites can utilize the speed of my ISP ...

I'm not so sure if i am on the right group.. but i am going ask my question anyway. My AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) used to work fine with the newest update using my Comcast Cable Modem and my Wireless Netgear Router MR814v2.

I had left my windows 2k and xp mahines on automatic update and have noticed within the last 2 months, my bandwidth dropped about a megabit. I removed the security patches and it went back up to 4mbits.
