How does the new GT24 handle Linux?27 Feb 2006 05:22 GMT2
I am thinking of getting a new GT24.  I noticed that it has Broadcom

Linux all that well.  So my question is - how well will RH/Debian
install/work on this machine? for server purposes?

Does somebody know if you need the M3290/M3291 daughter card to remotely
 power up & power down  the system(mayby reset)? Witch of the two cards

And how does that work with the agent, manager, ...?

I have seen other posts regarding using the Zalman CNPS 9500 LED with
Socket 940 motherboards.  My question is whether you can use the Zalman
heatsink with the factory Tyan/AMD Socket 940 base?  I don't want to
have to take the motherboard out of the case again unless I have to;

I was considering upgrading to a Tyan S5101 P4 3.2GHz w/HT 800MHz with a
Zalman CNPS9500 to keep it cool AND quiet. Anyone have success with that
cooler on that MB? Zalman's site doesn't list Tyan board compatibility at
all. My second choice MB is an Asus P4C800-E Deluxe which is ...

I'm trying to install Win2K on this board but after installing the SCSI
