As a programmer who has never got into the hardware side of computing I would like to ask a coiuple of questions here. I have just bought a SN41G2 with a socket A athlon xp 2600+ chip and would like to give it a bit more life by upgrading the cpu.
I've been reasonably happy with it, but I suppose it is getting a bit old. I'm thinking going from 1GB to 2GB would help my photo processsing, but without opening the case I don't know what's in there. The last time I looked, though, I think there were 2 memory
I am having a problem with FN41 mobo. Right after I turned it on, about one second later it shut down and the cpu overtemp led is on. The LED remains on until I unplugged the cable. I tried to reset the CMOS, with no success. What should I do here?
sATURDAY i HEARD A LOud pop and it powered off...right in the middle of something. tried powering back up it would turn on for about 10 secs and then power off.. not post info. reset bios , check PS , swapped cpu's mobo looks fine nothing looks cooked
