ST61G4 owner here, Intel 3.0GHx CPU / 80G IDE drive / 1G RAM / WinXP Pro w/
SP1 / FT61S01T BIOS version.
Have not been able to connect the USB card reader up... and now I need it to
work.  Also locks us if I connect any other type of USB card reader or USB

I installed XPSP2 on all my XP machines. No problems except the Windows MCE
2004 PC on the shuttle locked up on reboot.
* I have a Shuttle ST61G4 PC / Prescott 2.8GHz CPU / 2x Seagate 80G SATA
Raid 0 configuration / 1G Ram

A very interesting thing has come up regarding SP2 and the motherboard
industry in general.  An anomaly was detected in the installation of XP SP2
on Intel 865/875 chipset mobos.  After SP2 install most all such mobos from
most all mfgs would HANG on reboot.

I have an AN35N ultra.  I need to add a HD.  My choices seem to be:
ATA100 (another Seagate)
ATA133 (something) (there seem to be fewer of these - mostly Maxtor)
SATA drive connected to a pci adapter card.

My Shuttle HOT-661V31 based computer will not start at all. All it
does is to give me a sort of sound 'code' or alert to tell me whats

I'm putting together a new system here. Got a AK32V V3.1 Shuttle MOBO and am
planning on using an AMD Athalon XP2200+ /256K Cache / 266MHz FSB / Socket A
/ Thoroughbred core / Processor (CPU) Should I choose a CPU frequency (JP2)
of 100 MHz or 133 MHz?

I'm having problems building an SB51G system.  Right now when I plug
in just the CPU and memory, I get nothing on the VGA port, though the
blue light on the front comes on and the cpu fans spin.  If I plug in
a DVD and HD, I get the same symptoms, though the DVD light will come

Hi group,
I'm having trouble with my SN45G2.  I am trying to boot from a cd-rom,
but the only thing that happens is the drive spins up and spins down
for a while and then it tells me that I don't have a valid system

I recently messed up the bios on my Shuttle SB61G2 XPC (overwrote
with the incorrect version). I've bought a new bios chip with the
latest bios version FB61S03E. However the system still won't start,
disks spin fans start etc but nothing on screen or CMOS beeps.

Is there one available? I want to make use of S-ATA but I want to leave
the jump to 64-bit until things have settled a little. I can also
re-use more of my hardware at the moment.
