SN41G2 cdrom boot28 Aug 2003 23:12 GMT2
I'm currently attempting to install Gentoo Linux on a SN41G2.  After
getting the base os onto the hard drive and installing grub, I find
that the system won't boot from a bootable cdrom anymore, it always
defaults to the hard drive.

AV49N: Upgrading BIOS without a floppy drive28 Aug 2003 00:27 GMT2
Shuttle releases their BIOS upgrades as .exe files that apparently try to write
to a floppy.  I have no floppy and so texecuting the file doesn't work.  I was
able to extract the .bin file, but cannot burn it w/o a .cue file.
Any hints on how to upgrade my BIOS without a floppy?

I am using a Intel 2.4 GHZ a 800 MHZ FXB version instead of the
400/533 version. Could that be the problem ? As I have checked and
several other foums said that does not matter as they are backward
compatible.. I thought so too but maybe the electrical is oh well. I

running at 1.2GHz.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Norton Ghost 2003 & SS51G and/or SN41G222 Aug 2003 10:53 GMT2
I have managed to get Ghost to work with my SS51G but only via
firewire and not USB2. I cannot get Ghost to work with my SN41G2 with
firewire or USB2. I have tried the provided USB2 drivers, DUSE v4.4,
and the Panasonic v2.06 USB2 drivers but NONE work. The system

I am trying to install Windows XP Home on my new Shuttle SB61G2, but Windows

SN41G2, USB & XP18 Aug 2003 10:09 GMT2
I recently pruchased this and configured it with Win XP (SP1). I also
installed the latest 2.45 nforce drivers from nvidia. However, when I insert
a USB (1.1) pen drive in any of the sockets, XP detects it, freezes and then
automatically reboots the system!
