K7D Master Motherboard won't take 2 GB of RAM22 Nov 2008 04:46 GMT4
I recently tried adding 2 additional 512 MB SIMMs and after booting,
the system Beeps once per 5 seconds forever, and won't start. These
are new modules and are identical in brand and ID as the other pair.
Not sure what to do next.

MSI Group & Devs Specifically:
    There **is** a problem with the JCOM1 port on the motherboard! MSI has  
reversed the actual pinout of the serial port header on the motherboard.  
To make use of the serial port you must find a **non-standard** RS560 DB9

Hello all (If anybocy is in there?),
When my new setup boots up, after the bios screen it makes a small bee, then
after the drives screen shows, I get two more beeps.
Is there a log or anything to explain these? I happens so quick I can't see

Recently bought this mobo (& the required RAM & vid card) when my
trusty Asus mobo started finally acting hinky. The Asus used APM power
management, the new MSI has ACPI.
Installed Win XP Pro/SP3 as usual, & everything seems to work
