Guess this is the replacement for the boards MSI used to host?  I got
tons of good help there when I purchased my first MSI board two years
ago.

I was looking at the MSI K8N Neo3-F nForce4-4X mainboard and noticed that it
has a PCI-Express and AGR slot.  The connector looks the same but is the AGR
slot the same as an AGP?  Can I use my MS-8911 (Geforce FX-5500) AGP8x card
in this slot so I don't have to buy a new ...

I was trying to install linux on my machine which has a MSI RS 480M2-IL
motherboard with a 3000+ AMD Athlon 64 and having a 80GB SATA harddisk.
Inspite of multiple attempts Linux is not able to detect my SATA harddisk
and I end up having to install linux into my rather small PATA ...

Okay I just tried about everything & this is what i’ve done:
1. Boot windows xp original -non sp1/sp2
- every driver and hardware peice works good
- Radeon 9800 pro runs good, no problems here.

I built a new system with the following :
Win98SE
P4 Northwood 2.4
2 x IDE 40 gig 7200 RPM Maxtor hardrives, master and slave on IDE1

Would upgrading to 400mhz DDR make a big difference, I curently have 1 gig
333mhz?

Has anyone experienced this problem, An Athlon 1400 Thunderbird boots up
just fine, reporting as a 1.05GHz or 1250MHz processor. Walk away from the
system and come back in half an hour. Mobo is dead. No Vcore and nothing

I have the following setup:
MSI K8T Neo-FSR (MS-6702) (5 PCI, 1 AGP, 3 DDR DIMM, Audio, Gigabit LAN)
ATI Radeon X800 Pro (R420)

I am looking for some experience with this mobo.  I read in a
different group that there was some issues of mem running at 4oo mhz .
I have ordered one of these but not received it yet.  I would

I'll be upgrading in few days, and I'm wondering if I can get away with NOT
