A few notes that may be of interest on this ATI Chipset board.  Just

Unable to find issue with system. Replaced every part with known good

did anybody get acceptable sound quality from the AC97 component of
the MSI RS480?  Meanwhile I have two boards of this type. Both work
quite good, but the sound quality is really horrible. There are
constant cracks and distortures if playing any type of audio file.

I have 1 gig of OZC high performance RAM (PC3200) (with ultra sweet copper
heatsiks) but I can't get them to run at 400Mhz.
I know I am doing something wrong with green/purple DIMM slots.  I either
get 333 Mhz or 200 Mhz.
