MSI-6758 875P NEO FISR - Standby and Hibernate Problem31 Jul 2004 13:48 GMT1
If I shut down my PC to Standby or Hibernate, and the setting in the BIOS is
on AUTO STR or POS the system will not restart.
What happens is it switches on then off, on then off and continues to do
this. The only way to stop it is to erase the CMOS with the JBAT1 Jumper.

Everything was fine until last Sunday. I have a K7T266 Pro2 with an
Athlon XP 2000+ and a dual-boot Win98 se/WinXP Pro SP-1 system.  Or
had, rather. Last Sunday, all of a sudden WinXP crashed and then
refused to boot. When I gave up, I tried repairing XP by loading

K7N2 Delta-L USB 2.0 unknown device28 Jul 2004 07:29 GMT3
I have had this problem with several motherboards but am usually able to
get it working.  I install XP, then install SP1, then Nvidia drivers.
Everything works except that USB 2.0 ports show up in device manager as
unknown devices.  USB 2. is enabled in the bios.  I then loaded ...
master2 far only supports 333MHz for opteron?26 Jul 2004 22:27 GMT1
A closer look at MSI's Master2 Far website
http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=K8T_Master2_FAR&class=mb
suggests that they only support 333MHz for Opteron, and 400MHz for
Athlon64 MX. That doesn't make sense to me- why would a motherboard be

K7N2 Delta-L and Antec Sonata Case26 Jul 2004 06:49 GMT4
Just built up a new system with K7N2 Delta-L and Antec's Sonata Quiet
case.  Main problem is a bit high system temps.  PCAlert and Sandra
report system temp @ 40C and CPU temp @ 55C when idle.  I have a Athlon
2800 retail w/factory fan.
MSI K7N2 Delta-L drivers?26 Jul 2004 04:19 GMT1
I've been having this motherboard since last summer, but i've had some
rrandom crashes here and there. What i'd like to know is, what basic
drivers should I use with this motherboard? Are those two drivers the
ones I need to get?
K7N2-DELTA L CPU thermal sensor question.26 Jul 2004 04:11 GMT1
The thermal sensor that resides under the CPU just rests loosely between the
motherboard and the bottom of the CPU in the opening of the socket.
My question is how accurate can it be if its only measuring the air
temperature?
MSI K7T266 Pro2 doesn't detect CPU fan anymore25 Jul 2004 06:03 GMT1
I have a PC that is fitted with an MSI K7T266 Pro2 motherboard. Today I
finished installing an Asetek Waterchill CPU cooler. When I booted up the
system again the BIOS complained that the CPU fan was not running (Duh!!) and
suggested to shutdown. Although I get the option to boot ...
Only getting USB1.1 speeds on external USB2.0 drive - help please! (K7N2)25 Jul 2004 05:58 GMT1

K8T Neo FIS2R: mouse light remains on after switch off24 Jul 2004 21:02 GMT2
I have a K8T Neo FIS2R (version 1.0) motherboard, initially with version
1.4 BIOS. After flashing to the latest 1.7, my optical mouse light stays
on after I switch off.  If I pull the power plug, it goes out of course,
but it doesn't come back on when I plug it back in.

False Local Area Connections?23 Jul 2004 18:46 GMT2
When I install some drivers (e.g. WinTV usb, nVidia video capture) on my
K8T Neo FIS2R, a Local Area Connection is created. Does this happen to
anyone else here? It seems bizarre to me, and leads to network problems.
