Is the sata-controller on this motherboard so special ?
None of my acronis true image server versions (9.1 per example) can
see drives.
I see a problem in using my backup. I can create a backup image from

I built a system using an Antec EA380 and the computer was dead.
Took computer to a local repair shop and the tech told me that the P/S
was NG. He  plugged in his P/S and the machine booted up.
I exchanged the EA 380 for a EA 420 and again it was dead.

I was all set to order the S2H from NewEgg today and they dropped the
price of the DS3H to the same as the S2H and it is labled as "customer
choice award".
The primary difference between the 2 is the S2H has an Nvidia video

I have an gigabtye  81848p  Titan.
It hung (no video) a couple times over the past couple days and then
crashed tonight and won't boot. It powers up for a moment, displays
"Attempting BIOS Recovery from hard drive...." then displays "BIOS

I am looking to order this MB from NewEgg.  I want to put 4GB of RAM in
it (2x2GB).  
I looked through the memory compatibility chart on the Gigabyte web
site, but I'm not familiar with the manufacturers of 2GB memory chips

Motherboard is MA78GM-S2H. I have turned off the BIOS option to support USB
drives when booting. When the PC is turned off or put in standby the USB
ports keep getting power.
I have an external HDD and because the power stays on, it does not go into

have a ga-ep35-ds3l  rev # 1 , was wondering how hot my conroe e6750 core 2
duo 1333 fsb @ 2.66 Mhz. should run? a little concerned because my older p4
800 FSB's 3.0 gigs would run around 40C and this core duo is running @ 60C ?
is that normal? no overclock - stock heatsink/fan ...

i tweaked something in the Bios and noe the post up screen reads memory
running @ single channel? i don't remember seeing that? it is OCZ 6400
premium w/heatsink  2 -  1 gig sticks   ??

I have it with my ep-35c_ds3r when I have 4 ram sticks in. Not with 3
og 2 sticks.
Ram: 2 Gb mushkin pc6400 DDR2, 4 of these.
The phenomenon:

I just bought a pair of Corsair TWIN2X4096-6400C4DHXG, but when I
install them my motherboard will not boot.  I installed it correctly in
slots 1 and 3 per the manual and took ESD precautions.  I made sure they
were seated properly, but it comes on and then shuts off, then comes ...

   I'm looking for a good quiet CPU heatsink for the above motherboard, I
have the Intel E8500 CPU.  I have seen some heatsinks such as Thermalright
Ultra 120 eXtreme but they want me to remove the crazy cooling heatpipes to
fit it in.
