Problem re GA-965P-DS3 rev.3.3 auto-powerup01 Jul 2007 00:20 GMT1
If I enable "Wake by alarm" and set the time to say 08:30:00 so the PC
will be ON at start of the day, then I always get a BSOD (WinXP Pro
sp2).
If I start the system manually at around that time, it starts

I have 2- DDR 512mb PC2700 HyperX Kingston chips and want to expand up to
2gigs of memory. Can I just add two more of the same types of chips in my
remaining slots and be good to go, or do I have to get denser chips to move
to 2gigs?

Has anyone tried using an Intel QX6800 processor with the GA-P35-DQ6
motherboard?
I just installed it with an ATI HD2900XT graphics card and it won't
POST.  No beeps either.  The case fans and graphics card fan spin. The

I have been given an old Elonex machine with a motherboard which claims to
be a Gigabyte GA-6VTXD rev 1.0. Gigabyte web site does not recognise this
though and Elonex don't respond. Anyone any ideas what it is and where to
get data?

I have a Gigabyte GA-7VRXP Rev 1.1 which typically hangs on bootup to XP.
I have tried everything to sort this problem out but when I think I have the
problem licked a few weeks later it will rear its ugly again :-(
Typically it will boot into XP and after a while the mouse cursor ...

I bought A 965P-DS3 and it would not boot up - no beep codes no video
output, but fans did spin-up. I asked Gigabyte what was wrong and they said
it was either the mother board or processor. Got a new processor, fault was
the same. Sent mother board for testing and motherboard ...

ETC and Easy Tune 5 both have the CPU temp reading a few degrees lower
than system temp and about 10°C lower than BIOS.
Sadly MBM5 doesn't work indicate properly with the newer boards.

I have a little problem, I have been playing around with ntfs on linux

I just purchased a 965P-DS3 v3.3 and a stock 6420 2.13 chip.
I am planning on OC'ing soon, but not during initial install.  Can I go
ahead and install the stock Intel chip, fan and heatsink as Intel instructs,

A few weeks ago I installed Win2003 SBS for training purposes and turned on
Intel QST fan control in BIOS.
Hence the New Hardware Wizard popped up fine asking for a driver. (Bios F7).
Recently, I flashed Bios to F9 (most recent) and set all BIOS settings like
