The Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 has a 1x4 Molex power connector described as a “PCIE_12V power connector” and a description in the manual that reads: “The PCIE_12V power connector supplies extra power to the PCIE x16 slot. Connect this connector depending on your system requirements”.

I have a GA-M59sli-s5 MB, Gigabyte GV-NX73T256p-RH Video card, AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600 AM2 The MB has a ATX_12V_X2 power connect - and an ATX 24P Powerconnect. What is the difference between these 2 powerconnects. Is one "better"

Update: I brought an old computer over, set it down next to the new computer, and connected the power lead from the old computer's power supply to the cd-drive in the new computer. The IDE cable is still connected from the cd-rom to the GA-965P-DS3... the only difference

Ive heard it was pretty picky with the ram it can use. This is the ram i just bought. I thought it was safe as i saw some post son the OCZ forums saying the ram works, but i don't know with what bios version though.

I just bought a GA-K8VT800 open box motherboard online at newegg.com. All I got was the mobo and no accessories. there is an S/pdif header on the motherboard to do digital surround sound out. Does anyone know where I can buy one of these over the internet?
