I have a ga-7va Rev.1 board that's been running 98 for ages and I've been trying to install (upgrade to) win2k but keep hitting a problem - it seems win2k wants a hard disk controller driver that I don't seem to be able to find anywhere

I just installed a GA-K8NSC-939 motherboard with a AMD Athlon 3000+ 64 Bit chip. This motherboard has 2 serial or gaming ports on it. Eveyrthing works okay except for the 2nd serial port or gaming port. I can't get the driver to install. It has a yellow exclamation

Well, I decided to get the Zalman CNP9500 since in theory it is quiter than the Gigabyte 3d Rocket I used on a previous system, but I'm baffled how to install it on the GA-K8N Ultra-9. From what I can tell, for AMD use, the Zalman CNP9500 uses two screws at the midpoint of two

I usually have several desktops and a laptop at any one time, with backup and image-copy drills so that if I don't have time to wrestle with a hardware problem I can move wholesale to another system and carry on.

Can anyone help me with this problem? I have the MB board installed and am able to configure the BIOS. I have a DVD drive connected as a slave to the RED PATA IDE channel 1 connector that works fine.

I have 2 WD2500JS Sata2 drives that I have jumpered down to 150 and still the bios won't detect either of the drives. I have tried the Sil and the nVidia controllers. Only help from gigabyte was telling me to install the driver. The problem is the BIOS shows none for the SATA

Yesterday I decided to reinstall Windows XP a fresh. My PC has Raid O configuration and thus I had to download a driver that I saved onto a floppy. This should have been activated in the blue Windows setup screen by pressing F6.

I have a GA-K8VM800M MB with a 64 bit 3000+ processor and when I installed the Sata drive( WD 250 Gig) as the boot drive I had problems until I moved the IDE drive that was IDE0 Primary Master to Slave. Then it acknowledged the SATA as the boot drive but named it as G:\
