I am having all sorts of problems trying to get my mainboards onboard
LAN to work!!
yep i can see the Local Area Connection icon in the network connections
area, so this indicates the drivers are install and working fine as per

The original 40 mm NB fan went out 16 months ago, put in a replacement
one, now it is very noisy.  Is there an alternative to the fan, a larger
heat sink or something?

3200+ Athlon 64
Maxtor 160GB HD (SATA)

I was going to a new hard disk and was using Partition Magic 8.0 to
copy the win xp partition to a new disk. This is what I did:
copied the win xp partition from old disk to the new disk.
put the copied partition as the first partition on the disk.

I want to install this combination.
Does anybody know if there is interference of the xp-120 heatsink/fan
with te heatsink on the back of the GV-NX66T128VP ?

Are there many other folks out there with this uATX LGA775 board? I must
admit that I've bought it by mistake - I incorrectly assumed that all modern
boards with SATA would support RAID, but this doesn't. Oh well, I'm stuck
with it for the moment.

I was looking at the 7VT600P-RZ board and it says it has raid on the
overview page, but looking more closely at the manual, the raid is
only for s-ata. Are there any athlon mobos that have raid for p-ata?

I've been having some stability problems which I blamed on windows and now
with a completely fresh install my motherboard monitor 5 is reporting some
screwy temperature results.
The case probe shows a high/low of -125 C/+ 125C

I'm trying to chose a mobo for an athlon but there are so many to

A friend gave me thier pc to try and get working again. It is a Packard Bell
of some description with a gigabyte GA-8SIML motherboard. It beeps 3 times

I have a GIGABYTE GA-8IK1100 MB with 2 SATA disks set to raid 0  which up
until yesterday ran flawlessly.  Suddenly, the machine won't boot up at all,
no video -nothing.  I've tried a new powersupply and video card and neither
have worked.  I am now assuming that it is the MB.  ...
