Hello again all:
I am having one hell of a time getting my GA-7N400 Pro 2 MBs to read my
Maxtor HDDs.
I have 3 of these boards and one works.

I have a GA-K8NS Pro mobo running WinXP.
If you can answer any of these questions, it will be appreciated:
1) What is (or how can I find) the complete list of drivers required for
this motherboard?

I need to increase the RAM on my 8KNXP.  It has 2 x 512M sticks in it
now.  I tried installing an additional 2 x 256M sticks but the
performance went to hell in a handbasket.  Memtest and Sandra both
showed that the memory bandwidth decreased by 20% and PAT became

I am going to buy this board for doing some OC. Hopefully some 25%
only, with a winchester 3500+.
My question is for SATA ports: are they locked to pci (which is locked
by chipset) or not.

I have a GA-7N400-L MB running the F7 Bios that it came with.. is there any
advantage for me to update to the latest F11?

Please Help!  I have had this board for a while now, and still i am unable
to get devices to run at USB 2 Speeds.
I have enabled USB 1.1 and USB 2 in the bios settings.  I am currently using
a USB 2 HUB but windows doesnt recognise it as USB 2 it keeps on telling me

I've tried everything I can think of, including downloading the usb 2.0
drivers for my board from the gigabyte site.
I'm trying to connect my Motorola Razr using Mobile Phone Tools and it
doesn't seem to want to work.  It works fine on my other computer though.

I've seen a really good price on some DDR400 1GB RAM modules, being sold in
a matched pair.  Anyone know if the GA-7N400Pro2 Rev1 can handle 1GB
modules?
Right now I've got 2x512MB (!GB total) in, a pair of Kingston HyperX

I have a Gigabyte GA-8KNXP (Rev 1) board that after 2 years stopped
booting up. It will not even enter POST. It has always been on a APC,
battery backup.
The only thing I've done recently was back in December I upgraded to a
