Just put a Sata drive in (VAXP-A Ultra), ME installed but XP doesn't find
drive as an install option and no option in bios to set Sata drive as boot
option
Any ideas

It seems that on this board i have to set the SATA drive to map to the
normal IDE channel (ie Primary Master) to get it to boot from that drive. I
can't always afford to loose 2 normal IDE channels just to get it to boot

I am having some trouble understanding the connections from my Lian Li
front USB ports to the motherboard.  However, checking back on a
number of prior posts from this group has been very helpful and pretty

I am having some type of driver conflicts with my Nvidia Geforce 4
MX440 card and some conflicts with my onboard sound making
background noises while attempting to play DVD's. I have the
latest bios and drivers installed. Has anyone else had these problems

GA 8KNXP Rev 1 SATA RAID on Intel ICH5R30 Oct 2003 23:54 GMT5
Did anyone get a book with this mobo covering the Intel SATA Raid
controller?  I received 3 booklets, one for SATA Raid Function for
the Sil3112, one for GigaRaid Function (IDE Raid), and one for the
P4 Titan GA8KNXP.  What are we supposed to do?

just wanted to know whether the latest Intel P4 800FSB Hyper Threading CPU,
could it be used on a Gigabyte 8IHXP motherboard running RamBus Ram.

Hy Folks,
Boot system fail when i let a USB HDD (Handy drive TOSHIBA) pluged on
the 8KNXP MB just after select a OS in the Black Boot Screen.  I
receive the following error message:

Last week I bought a Gigabyte GIPE1000-L (Chipset Intel 865PE). My CPU is a
P4-1.6 GHz, FSB 400 MHz plus two identical memory modules, Apacer PC2100,
CL2.
This may be a stupid question, but why are my memory modules running in

I downloaded and installed MBM5 but it shows Zero degrees on all temperature sensors.
Also, the fans all show zero.  What did I goof up?

I just installed a K8NNXP board. This is my first experience with Gigabyte.
I am running WinXP pro. The computer will not shut off. When I select "shut
down computer" The pc will shut down momentarily then REBOOT. I have
upgraded to the latest BIOS but it has not made any difference ...

I have an Intel P4 2.53GHz CPU currently @ 3.07GHz. The FSB is currently set
at 162 and DDR322MHz.
But when i try to bump it up to a FSB of 166MHz it totally locks up and
won't boot, have to turn off the power...any ideas or have i reached the

I have GA-7DX Rev. 4.3 motherboard.
I tried to run this board with new Duron 1400+ CPU. I did it in two
differen't configurations:
1. SW1 configured for 100MHz CPU
8KNXP BIOS F5->F629 Oct 2003 06:10 GMT8
I have updated my MAIN BIOS to version F6 using QFlash.
Before doing so, I have copied the F5 BIOS to the BACKUP BIOS.
Now, under Windows XP, I see with "Gigabyte @BIOS Writer": Intel i875P
AGPSet BIOS for 8KNXP F6 AWARD BIOS Fine ;-)

I have this motherboard setup to use RAID 0 with 2x WD 120G SE. I am using
BIOS F6. The problem I have is that Chkdsk trys to run every time i start my
computer.  What is the problem?  Can anyone help?
