ok--i finally succeeded in setting up what i think is a proper raid 0 configuration, but i'm not sure: -2 120 gb SATA baracudas. at boot up, the intel raid configurator shows them as both a part of a raid 0 array

P4C 2.8 HT w/ a 8KNXP with the DPS + 4 HDD 2 optical drives, GeForce FX 5600 , floppy & Zip dr? I have a 350 Watt PS & it doesn't seem to have enough juice to boot up the system.

I recently purchased the above mobo and set up a Raid 0 (Stripe) using 2 ATA 133 60gb drives. Using Sisoft benchmark the speed of this drive is returning 27,000, which is well below what it should be (probably close to double)

Based on all of the glowing reviews I was a day away from ordering Abit's IC7 when I stumbled on their forum and found they had a serious issue with their onboard sound. So now I'm looking again. These two Gigabyte boards also seem to be very well rated. I have some questions:

I have an GA-8KNXP, Is it possible to put a DVD rewritable drive on ide3 and say a cd writer on ide4, if it is possible what do I have to do to set it up, i.e. bios settings, install drivers etc. I am very new to this so the more information the better, thanks in advance.

Checking prices on memory for PC3200, I notice both Corsair and Kingston "extreme memory" modules with speeds of 200mhz and above have higher latencies than PC2700/3000. PC2700/3000 is as low as 2-2-2-5 but PC3200 and above is no lower than 2-3-2-6.

I have 2 Corsair PC 2700 333Mhz 256 Mb ram banks in slots 1 and 3 of my 7n400 Pro 2 board but the maximum speed I can set them to is 266 Mhz. When I set the bios (latest version) to adjust memory "by SPD", Windows 2000 (with SP 4) gives me the blue screen of death on boot up.
