Working with temperature31 Mar 2005 03:55 GMT2
I have an 8RDA+ Rev 2.x I believe with an Athlon XP 3200+.  I replaced my
Antec 400W PS for a Zalman 400W noiseless.  It is quieter.
I turned off the 4 case fans I had running as they were the main culprit for
the noise and ordered 4 quieter ones from NewEgg (Arctic Cool).
Problem with my 8RDA3+ motherboard30 Mar 2005 16:48 GMT1
So I got home this afternoon and noticed that my system had locked
up.  I thought it might have had something to do with an overheating
issue had had resolved about a month ago.  Perhaps that issue was
resurfacing.  So I turn my machine off for about 30 minutes to allow
8RGA troubles30 Mar 2005 16:47 GMT1
After my first board died, Epox gave me another through RMA.  Well this
things acts fine usually with one exception.  Any time I try to do some LAN
gaming with it, the game or system will crash.
This leads me to believe either the board is defective, cause I know the
8KHA+, 9700 Pro, AIW 9800 Pro26 Mar 2005 19:07 GMT14
I have an old 8KHA+ that's been fine for years, Rev 2.0, caps OK, Athlon
XP 1900+, latest BIOS upgrade. It has an ATI Radeon 9700 Pro. I have an
extra ATI Radeon AIW 9800 Pro I'd like to install, but when I do, the
power supply just kicks out instantly upon pressing the start button ...
Need QUIET PS25 Mar 2005 20:25 GMT4
I have an 8RDA+ w/ an Athlon 3200+, Western Digital HD, GF FX 5950 Ultra,
and other small cards.  I currently have an Antec PP_412X 400W Switching
Power Supply (Smart Fan).  I've narrowed down the loud noise from my case to
the PS.
8kha+ Sound Drivers Help25 Mar 2005 01:16 GMT1
Is the Via Hyperion 4 in 1 Driver download on epox's site what I need to
bring my 8kha+ up to date for Windows XP?
Does it include the drivers for the onboard sound?
If not, which drivers do I need  to bring this motherboard up to date for
Quiet HS/Fan for 8RDA+24 Mar 2005 02:58 GMT4
I have an 8RDA+ with an Athlon 3200+ XP CPU overclocked to 2.4 Ghz.  I have
a 5500rpm fan on right now (sorry, don't know what it is) and I would like
some advice on the quietest fan/HS solution for this type CPU.
Thank you!
8KDA3I problem15 Mar 2005 03:38 GMT2
The computer will not turn on.  Swapped the PSU, and it still won't turn on.
Checked all of the LED connections and the switch connections and they're
fine.  What happened?  Did the mobo go bad?  Athlon 64 3000+, WD 120GB IDE
HD, 2 CD drives, etc. etc.
8KRA+ and Athlon 2600XP cpu speed problem14 Mar 2005 08:52 GMT2
I have an EPoX 8KRA2+ motherboard with an Athlon 2600+ XP processor.
My problem is that the cpu is rated at a speed of 2.113 ghz but I can
only get 1.67  with standard settings of the BIOS
The FSB is correctly set at 400 on the jumpers.
Problems with EPoX 9NDA3+ and memory12 Mar 2005 05:08 GMT2
I have just installed this mobo with a A64 3200+ (939 winchester). It is a
great board but seems very finicky when it comes to memory. I know that the
Athlon 64s are more touchy on memory. I have 2x512mb sticks of Corsair XMS
3200C2 (CMX512-3200) memory and I can not run them ...
MB startup problem12 Mar 2005 05:07 GMT2
All,
Having a little problem that a suggestion or two might be useful
with.  I had the bulging caps problem with an 8RDA+, sent it back and
Epox sent me a replacement board.  I'm putting the replacement in a new
EP-P4MKI : support for 48-bit LBA?11 Mar 2005 01:15 GMT1
I'm getting an Epox EP-P4MKI from a friend who is upgrading.  For the

General instability during gaming10 Mar 2005 03:02 GMT1
8RDA+ (I believe rev 2.x) 7/29/04 BIOS
Athlon XP 3200+ CPU (running at 12.5 * 188 = 2350 Mhz)  For whatever reason,
I can't change the multiplier.
Thermaltake Silent Booster

Anyone have this board ? - Mine is crazy wrong. Undervolts like mad (a
64 3000+ default at 1.34) will only boot into windows 50% of the time
(the rest it will give me a bios error that my drive order has changed
and to go into my bios to correct - or just not boot into windows).
