The CPU I took out of this machine was a Duron 1.4 that I managed to OC to
1825mhz stable with just air cooling and running at 109 farenheit.
It's replacement, an Athlon XP 1800 is locked and refuses to budge from
1533mhz.  It runs from 120-140 farenheit.

Sorry if this has been asked before but does the 8k3a+ work with amd barton
cores? epox guide says no but ive read conflicting reports

Just put it in this evening.  Made one attempt at overclocking, and resulted
in a no-boot situation.  Wouldn't even boot with the insert key.  Had to
reset the CMOS.
Anybody got any good success stories to tell about this CPU / Board combo?

I have a system that is having stability problems. Basically the system
reboots itself randomly. It may be up for 2 days or 'til just after
login.
When up it runs fine. Temps ok.

Hiya, I have a 8RDA+ MB and i use to have a GF-TI200 video card installed,
and now i have a Ge Cube 9800 Pro installed.
Now after taking out the TI 200 i had to unplug a cable that was plug into
the AUD2 (front panel audio connector ) on the MB to able to place the 9800

I thought that this was a nforce 2 trick that the KT600 chipset could not.
but I picked up the box to reinstall the software after a major system
failure and there on the box it states dual channel DDR. ??????

How does one connect wires from a case labeled as VP, VG, TPA+, TPA-,  TBP+,
TBP- to a firewire (IEEE 1394,1394a) port on a Epox board which is labeled
as:

i have a GF4 Ti4200 64MB and am thinking of upgrading to a DX9 card but cant
justify it at the moment.  all my games run fine at highish resolutions but
i'm thinking of doom III and halflife 2, will they be alright or will i need
the extra power of an FX or Radeon card.

Is there anyway of giving Windows Media Player 9 exclusive use of the
sound device on an 8RGA+ when it is playing MP3s or video files?  On my
old system I had an old Sound Blaster card and when WMP was playing,
other programs could not access the sound card.  

This Board will no longer have a FSB of 133 MHz - only 100 MHz
will work. Now my CPU Atlon XP1600+ runs only with 10,5 x 100 Mhz
(1050 MHz)
instead of 10,5 x 133 MHz. (1400).

I am considering buying one of these as an upgrade from a crap ecs
motherboard. My budget is pretty limited but this board seems to be well
specced.
Any advice is welcome

I have a 2 CD / 2 HD system and I just replaced my boot HD. Because of the
board layout, it easier to run the primary controller cables up to the CD
drives (one master, one slave on primary) and use the secondary controller
for the HD's.(one master, one slave on secondary)
