AMD 2000XP 512 meg ram 60 gig hd new installation of XP home
brand new everything.....
this board is exhibiting the following behaviour:
the power LED on the case is always on

I've got an ep-8RDA+ board and an AMD XP-2600 processor, no overclocking,
win2k
until yesterday it worked fine,but after turning the pC the harddisk
(Seagate) wouldn't boot.

I have been reading the various threads about the 8RDA+ and overclocking,
especially to 200Mhz FSB. I had the option in the BIOS so tried it. To my
utter amazement the system Posted, booted into Windoze and ran without a
glitch for over 9 hours.

I was thinking of installing a Zalman ZM-NB47J cooler (to replace the mini
fan) onto my Epox 8KTA3+ motherboard to try and reduce the noise levels a
bit. I was wondering if anyone had used / fitted one of these and what they
thought of it.

my new 8RDA3+powers down into standby very easily, but it does not come back
again: IDE activity LED lights up, post code FF on the board, but black
screen and no further resume progress. My system is Windows XP Home.

Some days ago I've updated my 8K9A2 bios with the latest release
(10/07/2003) and everything works fine. The only strange issue regarding
when I turn on a main switch under the desk, and the PC starts immediately
without any action on the power button in the front of the case.

In one night stopped work.
Now i cannot boot it.Fans on CPU working.But monitor is still black.

set up my epox 8RGA mobo and it was working but when you shut down the pc
using the shut down option in windows it refuses to restart.
i have power to the mobo as my mouse lights up indicating some kind of power
is coming through. I have tried to short the cmos and start again but ...

8RDA+ and radeon 9500 - powerstrip is currently showing AGP sideband as
disabled - I am trying to check whether this is a motherboard or a graphics
card issue.  Can anyone using an 8RDA+ let me know if sideband can be
enabled for their graphics card on this board please.

This is the last problem I have to overcome. Following the EPoX
instructions to download a driver from Microsoft doesn't work (for me)
the driver stated in the instructions doesn't appear on the XP update
site.

On my machine the Bios appears to be the one shipped with the
motherboard at purchase (25/08/99), I would like to update to the most

Having lots of problems with this 8RDA3+. Installed a new Maxtor 160gb
hard drive as boot drive. Installed windows from CD, windows installs
fine including the various reboots etc. Once Windows (XP) is installed
and the machine tries to boot for the first time from the hard drive,

I have decide to increase the amount of ram in my system from 512mb to
1024mb.  I thought I would also change the memory type.  My current system

In an effort to avoid blowing up my new CPU, could someone advise me
on the correct FSB & Multiplier setting for an AMD Athlon XP2800+
Barton. At the moment it is showing up as an AMD 2250mhz processor.
Recently destroyed my XP2700+ so I want to get this right.
