I own (2) K7S5A (Rev 3.1) based systems that have performed very well for a
couple of years now, yes of course both boards had to be re-capped about 6

I just installed this board.  If I take a known working WinXP instal
it reboots right after it loads the white bar across the bottom,  
do a fresh install and the system just keeps rebooting.  Funny thing
is I can boot from the XP CD, format the partition and copy the files

hello...I want give this motherboard to my girlfriend and don`t kno
if her processor AMD Sempron 2500+ 64bit revision E6 will work wit
this board...please help me because in tech support for this boar

ECS tech finally got it through to me that there is a hardware issue --you
can't have a primary IDE and a SATA? so i disabled the primary channel and
it found the SATA drive "0' Master right away - no need to use the f6 option
during setup ect.     thanks for the help

Win XP home new install. XP will act like its overclocked. For example the
sys tray clock will run really really fast. The minutes act like seconds.
When I check the system cpu usage is goin crazy fast. I can reboot and it

no matter whay i do the board will not recognize a SATA drive in any of the
enabled choices in the bios or by itself with primsary and secondary IDE
channels disabled and SATA only. the drive is good ?? any ideas

I am facing a problem with my ESC PT800CE-A system. I have a pentium 4
3.2GHz on it with 1GB of Ram. Lately it started to act wierd. I
started experiencing frequent resrat problems. The computer would
boot up good and stay on for a couple of minutes and then reboot on

my desktop freezes at boot

i have an 848P-A ECS motherboard and i cannot get it to see the SATA hard
drive?? i have 2 IDE  connected to IDE 1 and IDE 2 , @ cd rom/dvd on the
secondary channel, have enabled SATA Enhanced mode in the bios(auto didn't
see it either)?? i don't know anything about the SATA ...

Fry's has some memory on sale.
 I'd like to buy a couple of 512mb chips but am worried about
compatibility.

and a matched pair of Corsair (1GB, 512x2) 5400C4Pro DDR2 memory
capable of running at 667Mhz. I've tried a number of BIOS setting but
