I have this board and am trying to (of course) build a computer.
It does fire up, but I get no video. The card is fine, I have used it on
other machines before with no problem.
The speaker is hooked up, makes no beeping sounds at all.

i have an old system AMD 1600+, on an ECS K7VTA2 motherboard. The
board supports RAM only uptill PC2100. I was lloking to buy more RAM

how accurate is the CPU temperature given by K7S5A Pro sensor? I removed the
CPU from the socket and didn't notice any component which touches the
processor, so how the K7S5A Pro measures this temperature?
Maybe it uses the internal Athlon diode?

I'm running my K7VTA3 v8.0 with a Sempron 3000+ and Win2000 Pro.  While
investigating a problem with games freezing up (eventually require a total
system rebuild), I noticed that IRQ 7 was shared by my TI 4200U video card,
onboard LAN, USB Host (x2) and SoundBlaster Live 5.1 card.  ...

wich is the highest ATHLON XP o DURON K7 process. freq. that
motherboard ECS K7S6A can support without overclocking ??

how is the quality of the on board realtek sound you find on ecs and other
mb compared to a sounblaster live sound card

Built my wife a box with the above motherboard and XP Pro SP2 and
everything works fine except reading CF cards. She has a Nikon CoolPix
2100 and when we try to access it, it finds the camera, but won't

does anyone know if the ECS KM400-M2 3.0 Socket A motherboard can handle a
athlon xp 2800 or 3000 (barton core and 333 on fsb) I can get both at newegg
for $145-155 and use my memory.
