I've got a old K7VZA mobo with an 800 Duron fitted to it. ( tested and runs fine ) I've also got hold of an 1800+ cpu and want to temporarily swap it with the Duron just to see if it posts in order to confirm the CPU is okay.

Who can help me ? Naked Mobo with P4 and 256 MB DDR on it. The Mobo sometimes doesn't boot or hangs a while after start : for example i can then see "NV RAM...". Sometimes it's possible to get into the bios. But after some seconds the screen hangs.

I can't seem to get my on-board Realtek AC97 to output true 5.1 on SPDIF out. I get descreet right, center and left but no back or subwoofer. I'm sure it's just an option. Please assist.

I have a K7S5A and I want to remove my 2x256MB PC133 to replace with 2X512MB DDR-333 Is it compatible? I know that DDR-333 is much cheaper than DDR-266 in my city.

Went to Fry's this afternoon, purchased the above items. Got them installed and working, booted up first thing. no problems at all except my PC does not seem to be operating at a speed I think it should be.
