With Win XP what are the pros and cons of installing the SIS AGP driver from
the ECS website, as opposed to leaving the standard XP driver active.  I see
from the ECS website that the SIS AGP driver is meant for all Win OS
versions, including XP, but I've not installed it on my ...

Just bought this motherboard. When I attempt to install WinXP I get this

which graficcard can I use on this board. At the moment I use Geforce 2
Titanium and I want to upgrade to a faster one.

    I have the above MB and currently have two sticks of 256MB PC2700 DDR
installed in it.  One stick is Kingston Value Ram and the other is a
Nanya stick.  The computer is solid as a rock running with an Athlon 2200+.

I've got the following problem. I use a K7 AMA (1) and tried to upgrade to
an athlon Xp 2600 xp. Recently I'm using an athon xp 1800 which runs ok, but
is not fast enough to work smoothly with bigger photo data.
The problem with the 2600 is that the machine starts - I'm using W2k - ...

I've got a old K7VZA mobo with an 800 Duron fitted to it. ( tested and runs
fine )
I've also got hold of an 1800+ cpu and want to temporarily swap it with the
Duron just to see if it posts in order to confirm the CPU is okay.

Who can help me ? Naked Mobo with P4 and 256 MB DDR on it.
The Mobo sometimes doesn't boot or hangs a while after start : for
example i can then see "NV RAM...". Sometimes it's possible to get into
the bios. But after some seconds the screen hangs.

I can't seem to get my on-board Realtek AC97 to output true 5.1 on
SPDIF out.  I get descreet right, center and left but no back or
subwoofer.  I'm sure it's just an option.

I have a K7S5A and I want to remove my 2x256MB PC133 to replace with 2X512MB
DDR-333
Is it compatible?  I know that DDR-333 is much cheaper than DDR-266 in my
city.

Went to Fry's this afternoon, purchased the above items.
Got them installed and working, booted up first thing. no
