Just intalled a athlon XP2400+ on my computer. I am using PC133 memory (640MB). Is it worth the extra cost to buy DDR memory. What type of performance boost can I get. People tell me only about 10% which to me does not justify the extra expense

put a new board in as above, works fine put on checking the usb properties it does not show enhanced, been to usbman but only mentions 95 or me/xp .should i remove the drivers and try to reinstall the sis ones?as my setup disk for the board does not play properly so got the drivers ...

Do the Windows 98xx drivers provided by VIA and SiS for their chipsets provide 48-bit LBA support the way the Intel Application Accelerator and Promise drivers do? My BIOSes have 48-bit LBA support.

When I restarted my computer one day it took a really long time to get the POST, but the next time I restarted it I got nothing but a light show (on my CD-Rom drives). I have tried to clear the CMOS with the jumper, nothing happens, nothing even turns when I put the jumper in

I recently flashed my l7s7a2 bios with a different version than what it was supposed to have, which was the 2/27/03 release version. Not sure what version I flashed it with to mess it up. Now my computer wont boot at all. Is there any way i can re-flash it to the correct version, ...

I have a darn K7S5A mobo that wont show my post, I looked at some other newsgroups and I've tried absolutely everything, I've even resorted to taking the mobo (which is close to flying out the window) out of my computer in case of a short out, if you can tell me

why does it take 2 times to get winXP to shut down? it reboots instead of turning off after the first time you click "shut down" , then after the reboot , you click"shutdown" and it does shut down?? any info greatly appreciated!!

Not many posts in this NG any more on the k7s5a, glad to see the k7s5a is mostly "ironed-out". Mine is currently taking a break from service, but the next time I get a bit of energy, my other office/work machine will receive the k7s5a as an upgrade from it's current
