| Anyone get Knoppix/Debian to see N2U400-A ethernet? | 31 May 2004 21:29 GMT | 3 |
I'm trying to get Knoppix 3.2/Debian Linux to wake up and see the embedded ethernet on the N2U400-a motherboard. It keeps telling me that it sees no supported ethernet card. Please tell me what trivial little mistake I'm making with this.

| K7S5a CMOS loss | 30 May 2004 02:15 GMT | 3 |
Yep, it's me again. K7S5a rev 3.1 I would lose my CMOS settings anywhere from once or twice a week to maybe only once a month. It would usually happen after the PC was turned off overnight (still plugged in to the wall, though).

| Installed second hard drive, now can't boot Windows 98SE | 26 May 2004 12:06 GMT | 8 |
Why does Windows 98SE work with one IDE HD in my system but not two, even though it's booting from the original HD? I was running an 80G Seagate Baracudda V and installed an 80G WD HD to make a backup of it, but it prevented Windows from booting completely,

| Upgraded K7S5A CPU - 3DMARK2001 got slower?!? | 24 May 2004 11:52 GMT | 5 |
XP1800 to XP2400, both are 133FSB tbreds. Dropped from 8241 to 7760. All four "games" turned in slower results and Lobby (high detail) took the biggest hit. Any idea what's going on here? I'm still running PC133 mem, BTW.

| Keyboard won't work in K7SEM | 18 May 2004 18:25 GMT | 5 |
I have a K7SEM v 1.0 motherboard. The trouble is, that the keyboard stops working after POST. The keyboard works fine in BIOS, so obviously the keyboard's fine. But whatever the operating system is (and I've tried a few from Debian to W2k), the keyboard just doesn't work.
