Re: System abruptly powers down -- an update31 May 2009 22:48 GMT2
Here's an update for those interested.  It looks like I have a PSU

system.  Same configuration re: IDE, optical and SATA.  But now a
stubborn problem:
P4S800D-X won't boot off sata30 May 2009 01:50 GMT1
Bios (Rev. 1006. beta 2) reads these drives fine.

options...just to see what it was and try it out. Now I've been trying to
Motherboard suggestion wanted29 May 2009 18:52 GMT1
I need to build a Core i7 system for someone else.  Nothing exotic,
single video only, etc.  There is some desire for a "legacy rich"
system; a floppy drive, serial port and parallel port are viewed as
desirable.  At least two PCI slots are also essential (the system will

A8V Strange Problem22 May 2009 04:00 GMT2
I'm having hassles with an A8V and a Silverstone Home Theatre case.  The A8V system works fine in an old case but when I move it,
together with the 500W PSU from the old case into the Silverstone HT case, the green LED shines on the motherboard, but it won't
power up. The case ...
Batch Executing Drivers in quiet mode?21 May 2009 08:13 GMT1
I am looking for information on installing the Asus Chipset, Audio, USB,

manufacturer motherboards that we have out to our customers.  I am
making an image that has the drivers available to be re-installed and I

More-or-less as an act of faith (or was it foolishness?) I

For thirty bucks, it seemed tb a no-brainer.
OTOH, I don't recall TaskMan every telling me I was using much

years until today.
This morning my wife told me the computer kept shutting down on her.

Is there any such thing as a laptop with screen less than 10",
