what is halting my POST?30 Apr 2009 10:30 GMT5
My P5WD2E-Premium stops during POST about 15% of the time.
I turn off the PC and turn it on again, and then it completes the POST
and Windows XPpro starts and everything appears to be fine
Where do I start to determine why?

So I had been having quite a few problems with my OS, so I backed up al
my files, wiped my hard drive and reinstalled windows vista. I the
started reinstalling all of my drivers; I don't have the motherboar
support cd, so I went to the asus website and downloaded the driver

PCI-X Slot. I now PCI-X is compliant with PCI but instructions says:
"Install lsi 20320-R in a 3.3v or  5v PCI slot".

I have an Asus A8N-Premium.  I just reinstalled Windows XP and then
realized I didn't have the CD that came with the motherboard.

I bought 3 new Motherboard Asus P5N-EM HDMI and with no one i get the

Seriously, the way things are progressing ATX is just to small. Think about
it, we heading against system with more and more linked graphic cards and
with Win 7 we get multi cpu support in addition to multicore... Soon there
will be gaming rigs with 4 graphic cards, 2 processors ...

Could anyone tell me if it would be possible to connect a firewire connector
to this board? By this I mean where the blank bit is for the red Asus
connector, would it be possible to solder one on, has the chipset got the

I have an Asus A8N Premium. I reinstalled Windows XP (SP3) but I've
lost the mobo's CD (dont try this at home).
Currently these are the devices in Device Manager that are "alerting".

An older computer I have, with the ASUS  P4P 800 E MB
I was moving some drives around and when I was moving the data cables,
there are 2 that plug into the MB,  the pins on the MB bent.  Pretty
fragil things.
