| P5E WS Pro BIOS | 30 Jun 2008 14:04 GMT | 1 |
Asus has a new bios (0704) out for this board, but no docs as to what issues it may address, or fix. If it fixes the slow boot start problem (in a recent thread) that would be great. Does anyone have any info on this BIOS?

I'm upgrading 2 computers, both to P5E's with Intel E8400 and heatsink/fan assembly. Both have been a bear to get mounted and locked down. It sounds simple. Line up the 4 pegs and push down until they lock. The problem is the locking mechanism is very weak and the processor is ...

FYI, for anyone buying a new ASUS motherboard and finding out it doesn't have a PS/2 mouse port, here is what I tried that worked. My situation was more complicated than just replacing the mouse because I have a PS/2 KVM switch which I would also have to replace if I went with a

| A8V Graphics Card | 26 Jun 2008 19:49 GMT | 3 |
I tried upgrading my graphics card to a Radeon HD 2600XT AGP and the printing to the display was corrupt. For example, if I tried scrolling a web page quickly, the writing would smear. To my dismay, the drivers are not windows qualified either.

| Generic Temp Monitor Utility? | 26 Jun 2008 18:42 GMT | 2 |
Are there any generic utilities I can run in windows that would let me monitor CPU temp? Or is this always mobo manufacturer specific? I have a gigabyte mobo on an inherited system that I need to watch and their software unfortunately doesn't work on their own mobo :-(

Hey all, I'm Intel all the way at the moment. However, a friend bought a built-up 'gaming machine' (I've mentioned it before here, it's been nothing but trouble) using an Asus M3A motherboard, a Phenom 9500 CPU, 1x2GB DDR2 module

When you use support.asus.com and do a download, I think you'll be in for a pleasant surprise. I managed to download at my full capped rate today! (A puny 300KB/sec, but that is ADSL for you.)
