Asus released a BIOS update (1802) for this board in March that actually works with a Phenom processor. Just to let you know mine is up and running with a B2 Phenom 9600. It appears to have fixed my SLI (horrors) problems as well, so good luck.

I have a box with M2NPV-MX motherboard, in an Antec Sonata II case. It has been working well for about a year, but now I have problems powering up. If I press the power button, lights and fans go on, the HDD light is lit constantly. However, no boot screen from the BIOS appears.
