How do I uninstall RAID 0 from Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard?30 Jan 2008 13:46 GMT5
I recently bought a new PC with an Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard, Intel
Core 2 Quad Q6600, and two SAMSUNG HD501LJ 500GB hard drives set up in
a RAID 0 (STRIPE) configuration, producing a single 931.52GB bootable
volume.  In Windows XP it shows as a single partition: drive C; I have

I'm running a Core 2 Quad 6600 2.4 ghz and the temp when idle is about
25C according to Asus PC Probe II, although I've seen it up to 34C
with tasking.  I want to moderately over clock this (P5E WS Pro) setup
and would like to know what to look for in terms of temp increases and

A8N32-SLI CPU Cooler29 Jan 2008 14:03 GMT2
I am thinking about replacing the AMD cooler (CPU = AMD FX 60 / socket
939) on my A8N32-SLI Deluxe with an after-market unit.  I have read
the NewEgg reviews concerning the Arctic Silver cooler and will pass
on it -- seems to be exerting too much pressure involving the lock
processor for P4C800-E29 Jan 2008 00:53 GMT3
What is the fastest processor that is available that can be used with a
P4C800-E mother board.  My system is kind of slow so I was thinking of
upgrading the processor.  Windows especially bogs my system down though
not as much with Linux though it still seems slower than my dual ...
BIOS beeps with A8N-SLI Deluxe; no video29 Jan 2008 00:12 GMT3
I have taken this thing apart 1000 times (well, three times maybe).
One long beep and two short beeps.
I swapped video cards, same thing, so I can rule out the video card.
I have two PCI and two OCZ sticks of PC3200 RAM, 1GB each, I thought
Asus Commando and USB issues?28 Jan 2008 03:57 GMT3
Has anyone here had any problems or heard of any problems with the Asus
Commando motherboard and it front USB headers?
My 3 headers seems flaky, cannot recognise on occasion or fades in and out
every few seconds when a thumbdrive or USB hard drive is plugged in. The rear
A8N-SLI Premium - Can't get into BIOS28 Jan 2008 03:09 GMT2
Okay, I've seen this problem in a lot of forums/newsgroups, but no
answers.  So, here goes.
I've got an A8N-SLI Premium that boots just fine, and loads Windows
just fine (or would, if my Windows install wasn't hosed), but when I
Asus Hardware issue27 Jan 2008 22:26 GMT4
I have a Asus P5B-VM mainboard.  2 days ago it started freezing up
right on startup and nothing would work.  A friend came over and after
3 hours of work realized there might be a RAM issue.  I have 2 1 gig

I want to upgrade my pc with a new MB, Quad core processor and memory.
The boards I'm interested in say they are certified for Vista. Will
there be any problems using XP Pro? BTW, I want to do a repair install
keeping my original installation and added on programs. Any help will
Memory Question27 Jan 2008 02:14 GMT1
I have a dual channel motherboard PC4800-E and I was wondering what the
best memory would be.  I want to upgrade from 512M to 1G and I am unsure
of just what memory to use as there seems to be varying prices and
styles.  It seems like maybe the memory with heat spreaders would be ...

I just activated my promise controller that other day as IDE and

on the driver disk that came with the mother board and I am unable to

M2N Memory Question26 Jan 2008 15:05 GMT4
I have a plain M2N motherboard, with 6 gigabytes of memory (64 bit XP!).
POSt goes through a memory check that pauses at 3072 megs (not
surprising), but then it counts up to 7168 before settling back to the
actual 6144.
