cpu for this board?  Would like to keep my budget as low as possible!

I got my SATA Drives working on my P4PE - more questions now..30 Dec 2007 15:29 GMT3
Thanks to Lars, Dave & Pauls's advice & help I can now see my sata
drives on my P4PE board. I put two Seagate 250 MB drives in as striped
rather than mirrored. I noticed though that the jumpers on these drives
are set to limit the speed to 1.8 GB's so I left them there, can I
Need advice on installing heatsink.30 Dec 2007 03:22 GMT4
I just installed the stock heatsink on my  new quad core 6600 on a P5K
MB. I had a lot of trouble getting all four of the fasteners to go in
correctly and after I finally got them in, I noticed a small amount of
thermal paste on my fingers even though I was being as careful as I

Is there any problem with running an NVidia card in the P5B series boards?
Looks like there set up for ATI crossfire but I've given up on running any
ATI based boards after my last encounter using them... I don't intent to run
crossfire or sli. Just a single 7xxx or 8xxx series ...

Can't capture sound on my P5KPL-VM!29 Dec 2007 17:50 GMT4
In order to turn my wma files into mp3s, (no posts about copy rights
please) I use a small program called "MP3 My MP3". It captures the
playing WMA at the sound card output and makes the mp3 out of that.
On my Asus P5KPL-VM, the program cannot get the list of sound inputs,

Thanks to the advice of people here, notably Lars, I got my 250G SATA

Which motherboard?29 Dec 2007 01:45 GMT1
    I just ordered a P5N32-E-SLI Plus and received a P5B Premium
Vista along with it. Obviously I can't use both. I have a duo core
Intel CPU and the first board states it supports the duo and quad CPU.
I don't want to open either one because one of them is going back.

How can I get my new P5E mobo to talk to my HP 4mv printer?  The
printer has a centronics connector on the back, which if memory serves
is a parallel port.
