I've been running some slow Corsair ram (TWIN2X2048-6400  5-5-5-12  1.9V) in
my P5W DH Deluxe for the last 10 months.  (I purchased it for another board,
but it had USB port problems, so I upgraded to the P5W).  Well, I've been
fighting some strange boot-up problems like icons ...

I've got my new rig up and going. Asus P5K Deluxe,4 gb Kingston RAM, Nvidia
GTS 8800, WD SATA 2 HDD, SATA 2 RW DVD, SATA 2 DVD, Intel core 2 duo E6850.
Win xp sp2 / Vista 32 dual boot
Got things up and running fine.  But I started getting random CTDs in some

Could someone tell me if the following problems sounds like an USB
controller issue with the motherboard and Vista or a problem with the
wireless adapter driver?
I'm using a Netgear WG111v2 wireless adapter with an Asus A7N8X deluxe

I have never used my microphone on my ASUS P5P800SE, and tried it
today and found that although I can hear fine out the speakers, after
using two different microphones, I cannot record sound.
I tried to go to SoundMax's website to update their product, but

 BIOS to v. 0501.  Now I see there's a v. 0503.  Based on reports I've

After toasting my old PC I obtained an ASUS P4S533-X motherboard and
patched together old parts and got a decent PC up and running.  I
snagged a Intel Celron - 2.8/128/400 and things have been pretty good
with it.  I just now stumbled across an Intel Pentium 4 - 2.4/512/400

I have an A7M266 mobo and of course it is several years old.  I've had
it for 2 years and I don't know how old it was when I got it.

So i have a ASUS P5VDC-X mobo which worked great. Then i decided to
clean the parts, removing dust and such so i removed all the parts and
when i put them back the computer wont start. When i try to turn it on

I have a p5b deluxe with two sata drives running in RAID 1 (mirroring)
partitionend in 2 (c: and d:). Yesterday something weird happened and
now i have c:, d:, e: and f:. My harddrives are for some reason not in a
raid set anymore.

when a motherboard powers on but wont put out a video signal from the agp or
pci or onboard, even when its stripped to sitting on the box with just
cpu/ram/psu/video card its a bad mobo isn't it?

I had RAID 0 set up on my two IDE hard drives and they worked fine
prior to the failure of my power supply. Replaced power supply and in
process of replacing it accidentally popped out CMOS battery. Am
unable to remember exact settings for BIOS to get system running

I' ve just purchased my new dvd-burner GSA-H62 N from LG, which is a S-ATA
model.
I connected it to S-ATA 1 on the board an connected it to power.
After switching on my PC with Win XP it's not found.
