 I'm looking for any real life experience of cpu upgrades for an asus
a7a266 version 1.03 motherboard.
 The Configuration I have is an Asus a7a266 v1.03 motherboard with a
1009 BIOS (which I expect to upgrade to 1012).  CPU is a 1400MHz

I have recently come into possession of a P3B-F motherboard as a
replacement for an aging Abit BH6. I did some preliminary poking
around the internet and was under the impression that this motherboard
transplant would be a no brainer. I had not anticipated the fact that

I was recently forced to upgrade OS to WinXP. Now windows crashes trying
to boot-up unless I set CPU down to 450 in bios, it's a 600EB. I don't
understand ... this machine was rock solid in 98se even overclocked to
the max. I did have problems in 98 using the upgraded Asus Gforce ...

I have a M2N MB based system that I built last September, 2006. I don't
think it's the MB or hardware but I'm not sure. I don't believe the events
are related but I installed Vista, then went back to XP. When I had Vista

A friend has just got a new PC with the above MB and a 6000+ CPU, running
Vista Premium.
It sounds like a hovercraft and the suppliers are not helping. So apart

I would like to build a new system centered around an Asus/Intel chipset
and possibly a Q6600 CPU but want to keep my my old AHA 2940u2w SCSI .
My main question, is it worth using Ultra wide SCSI in a system with
native SATA? I hate to lose my Plextor SCSI drives or my SCSI ...

I would like to build a nice Windows Vista machine. I'd like to use an
ASUS MB but am wondering which one. I'd like to run RAID 1, it also

Either I suck or this thing is stuck. I am seem to remove the battery
from the motherboard to reset its CMOS. The manual doesn't say how to
remove the battery from its socket. I think I see the latch, but can't
seem to make it work to remove the battery.

I bought an Asus P5B, but using Win XP 32 Pro, I can only use 3 GB.
I have heard that there are Motherboard which support using more than
3GB under Win XP 32 Pro.
Is there any possibility to use more than just 3 GB ?
