Earlier today, I was doing stuff in Debian like upgrading my Kernel (2.6.18 with an updated package) and rebooted. The computer never rebooted and it just got stuck (I think after shutdown -r now told it to reboot -- shutdown seems to have completed).

I'm planning to make an upgrade to a P5W DH Deluxe; the memory is as recommended by the Crucial advisor on my merchant's site (komplett.ie), can anyone say if it's a good choice or would they recommend another type over it?

Although having set my system to "Silent" in bios, the cpu fan runs at about 1750rpm which makes it very loud. No matter the settings it still runs at 1750rpm. Anyone here with the same board, that has succesfully lowered the fan speed?
