Can an Inrtel heatsink and fan for a socket LGA775 CPU be used more
than one time?  I asked this question because I tried to move a
Pentium D CPU from one Asus motherboard to different Asus motherboard
but I couldn't push the 4 plastic fasteners into their mounting holes

I seen a list of motherboards Asus has created Vista drivers for. It
is a pretty long list but it doesn't have my board, the A8N32-SLI. I
just bought this board a week ago for $170. It isn't a discontnued or
obsolete board!

I've got the P5AD2 Deluxe motherboard and happily using it for some
time now... but just recently, I've used the CPU-z software (http://
www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php) to check my system and I've noticed my DDR2
rams are not running at their optimal speed.

I just have a mishap with my system using the P4C800E Deluxe board. I
plugged in a USB drive a few minutes ago and eveything just shuts
down.  My USB mouse, keyboard died and after a reboot to check the
problem, the video display is gone too.  I opened the unit and felt

First, my system:
MB:     A8V Deluxe
PSU:    Corsair HX520W (Originally had Antec SL400 ATX 400W)
CPU:    Athlon 64 X2 4200+

Asus says not to use the chipset fan if you have an active CPU cooler
because it will interfere with that cpu cooler.
Right now my motherboard temperature is hovering around 46C, which is
almost the same temperature as the CPU.  Is that a reasonable

brand new custom build computer, it starts up and right in the asus
logo screen where you can get into the bios and lock up, sometimes it
will go on even into windows but this problem is on a total new
system, any ideas

Just ran the Vista Upgrade Advisor and it shows that there is no
compatibility data for this device. I have a P4P800-E Deluxe motherboard and
would like to install Vista. I have three SATA drives hooked up and none are
in RAID mode. Will I have any issues with the install.

Does the P5VDC-MX work with Vista and if it does will it work with the
onboard video.
If not does anyone have any suggestions for a reasonble priced VGA card that
will work with this MB.

Having used several versions of PC Probe II. I Have the same problem
regardless of version. When my system comes out of standby, Probe ALWAYS
shows my CPU at 150 C, but if I reboot and go into BIOS it is 40C, normal

I saw on another forum that some ASUS mobo's have issues with IDE
DVD's
I did have problems with system freezing and I sent the Liteon DVD
drive back to Newegg already.

Could anyone summarise the differences between the above two models
please?
