I see that I'm running DirectX 9.0c right now - will I be able to
upgrade that to version 10 for Vista, or will I need a whole new video

as a Boot Device.  When I insert a USB Flash Drive (1G PNY) in a USB
port/slot on my P5B Deluxe System, WinXP does it thing and everything works

Asus P5b, Sata hd, Plextor PX-16A dvd burner and zip 100 attached to ide
cable.
When I plug in the zip drive, it forces it's IDE device channel into PIO,
and makes the DVD burner go unusable slow. Without the zip drive it works

I have a AMD Athlon 64" bit processor and an ASUS A8N-E mobo. And
everytime I boot up I get a msg saying my chipfan is too slow and yes,
it is. The chipfan more than 80% of the time is still, doesn spin at

I'm looking at getting a supermicro server rackmount case..
It says that it has to have an EATX motherboard, within certain
dimensions..
Would a motherboard that is SSI CEB 1.1 Compliant, 12"x10.5" be within

hi guys im having some trouble lodaing a maxtor sata 300 gig drive onto my
asus a8v deluxe..ive done it before on my a7n8x deluxe and it went
easy......first off i tried loading xp and pressing f6 no problem it
recognizes and loads the drivers..but after that system say windows ...

Having bought a PQI flash drive, the doc says one can load the dos system
onto the flash drive for booting the system; I thought that it is a

Has anyone gotten Vista working with an A8R-MVP board? When I try it
with my recent Vista preview edition it doesn't see any video card or
monitor. Nothing in Device Manager at all, not even an unknown entry.
The ATI drivers won't load.
