I am getting ready to upgrade my system.  I am looking for an Asus
mobo, with an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU (perhaps Quad core, but probably
not).
Anyways, I tend to stick with Intel Chipset mobo's.

I used to have a Asus A7V66 mobo with a AMD XP 1900+ CPU with a network card
on a ADSL modem. When I was renderin an image on Bryce (3D image app that
uses lots of CPU) IU also could run Firefox and visit sites. Just a tiny bit
of lag but pages where showing after few seconds.

one SATA drive. When both are connected the IDE drive will not format or
