Asus P4S8X with Gigabyte GV-N68128DH hangs21 Jul 2006 21:30 GMT3
I installed a AGP 8x graphics card (Gigabyte GV-N68128DH, gforce 6800) in
my Asus P4S8X mainboard.
The system starts but freezes at the PCI device listing (before an
OS/floppy boot is possible).
ASUS MB P4P80021 Jul 2006 14:52 GMT1
Since 2 days I get the P4p800 ASUS MB Logo come on and it stays on for a
long time (more than 1 minute).
I never had this before, when my WINXP PRO computer would boot right into
Windows Welcome and then the desktop.
A8N-E and Norton Ghost 1021 Jul 2006 06:15 GMT2
I had Norton Ghost 9 and just upgraded to 10. Now the v10 CD won't boot

3500+ CPU and a Seagate 320 gig PATA hard drive.
Hassle is the system (with XP) sees the drive as a 127 gig drive.
Ideas anyone?

Hi, wondering if anyone knows:
I want to tell my BIOS to run my SATA hard drive in AHCI mode instead of
Standard IDE mode.  But when I do that, Windows XP no longer boots up (it
spontaneously reboots instead).

My current IBM hard drive is going south after years of serving me well. I
