P5WD2 CPU cooling30 Sep 2005 19:22 GMT10
My P4 3.4 (650) seems to be running a temperature: 54C idle to 67C at
100% utilization, according to ASUS PC Probe II. No over-clocking,
staright fans (no Q-fan, that just didn't work well at all). I've read
that software varies on its reporting accuracy, but it just seems to

know what it was and why my X700 Pro gave me "failed VGA test"
P4C800-E Deluxe & NCQ30 Sep 2005 11:09 GMT5
Does the above boards promise controller support Native Command Queuing

Asus V9180 Problems -- Add RAM?30 Sep 2005 04:29 GMT9
I bought the Asus P4PE motherboard and added the V9180VS video graphics
card a couple of years ago.  My video drivers are current.  My system
is now having difficulties that make me think I may have inadequate
video RAM.  I've got adequate system RAM -- I have 1 GB and I'm running

I just purchased an Asus P5WD2 Premium motherboard.

Hey, just opened a customer's box..Looks like one of the retention clips for
a p4p800s s478 heatsink broke off.
The 3.0ghz CPU apparently has been running at 80C for a while now as the one
corner was up high.
Asus A7N8XE-Deluxe - Can't upgrade from IDE to SATA29 Sep 2005 21:25 GMT13
I cannot get my new SATA drive to boot.  Here's what I've done:
I flashed the motherboard BIOS.
I used ghost to copy the old IDE drive to my new SATA drive, including
MBR.
Problems with my ASUS P4P800SE motherboard29 Sep 2005 19:54 GMT6
I've just encountered a serious motherboard failure. :(
When I power on my computer, it seems to be starting to boot, but then
just halts. I don't even get any display on my monitor, so I really
don't see what's happening. I have tried to put in the recovery CD with
P5P800 ai edition29 Sep 2005 19:39 GMT9
I have tried to use an EE 3.73GHz HT 1066 (04b) in a P5P800. Asus says

Obviously there is an other (lower version) BIOS installed.
Sometimes it beeps (prolonged) and then nothing. Tried to connect a PCI
P4P800-E dlx and P4 3.2GHz prescott problem29 Sep 2005 16:10 GMT5
My CPU, S478 P4 3.2GHz Prescott, has suddenly and quite abruptly started

It's hovered around 40-45C in the past but recently the case took a heavy
knock (don't ask) and ever since, well the last two days, I've noticed the
