P5AD-2 Premium - IDE configuration.31 May 2005 20:17 GMT1
The manual is not giving me a very clear picture of the mapping of IDE
drives on this board. Been trying to get it to detect a Maxtor ATA133
HDD as the main boot drive on the red IDE connector and a standard
CD/R/W on the blue primary IDE connector.

Can anyone recommend a good benchmarking utility for my new mobo?
Hopefully
a free one. Not necessarily looking to stress everything, just a good

OT: DVI on monitors and cards31 May 2005 13:34 GMT5
I am looking for a replacement 19" monitor (TFT), but unlike my curent model
(Acer AL712  17"), I don't see many deals on a 19" model with DVI support..
Is DVI still in fashion and popular, or have the manufacturers stopped

I'm trying to find the ideal cpu voltage for the A64 3200+(939)/venice
core so I can manually set it my A8N-E BIOS.  I haven't bought the cpu
yet, but heard the voltage isn't printed on venice core processors.
AMD's website says the voltage is "variable" for that cpu.  While the

Silent fans for case, CPU, and switch.30 May 2005 18:55 GMT3
I'm thinking about upgrading main system fans and CPU fans to
quieter models.  I've heard good things about the  Zalman 7000A/B.
Regular system fans are mostly Antec 80mm double-ball-bearing .
I've also got a Linksys gigabit switch with a little 40mm x 40mm x
Fastest practical CPU for P4T-E30 May 2005 18:27 GMT10
I'm using a P4T-E for my Internet machine.  Currently running
Northwood 1.6Ghz with 1.5GB Rambus.  Given that browsers and
downloading tools are getting more CPU and Ram-hungry, I
was thinking about speeding up the machine.
