Okay, I was all ready to get the Asus P4P800E Deluxe motherboard and a
Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz 512k Cache 800 Mhz FSB 478 Northwood core processor
but Intel has stopped making them and has made sure no one will sell
them since they are better, less power hungry, and faster than the 33%

Are the Labway PCI cards with Yamaha chip any good?  Are they XP compatable?

My P2-99 has had a celeron 500mhz CPU in it forever since I bought it
and worked fine, and according to ASUS's site it should be compatible
with a P3 700mhz cpu. However, I just tried to switch in that P3 700
cpu, and upon startup BIOS only detects it as a "PIII 466mhz"

Hi all, I just assembled a new system, however running into a big
problem.  There seems to be power to everything (all fans turn on, I
hear the hard drive turning on, fan on the video card is on), however
nothing is being displayed to the monitor.

I have had problems with the computer shutting down.  I have a A7N8X-UAYZ MB
with fans everywhere, 512MB RAM, a 500 watt PSU, AMD 3000+ CPU that works
best at 1300 and an 8X AGP video card with its' own fan.
I've changed the BIOS to get it up to 2800 and it may come up.  When it

Recently upgraded to A8N-SLI Deluxe and updated bios to 1007 (beta)
I have 4x512MB PC3200 DDR RAM Non-Parity CL3 (Crucial)
The machine posts and runs fine but only recognises 1.5gb memory.
If I remove 1 stick it posts 1gb.
