or Acer Aspire one with 120gh. HD. 3 cell battery.

Since the reception of the signal from my router is often weak in the
place where I would like to sit working, I frequently have problems
getting the internet there.  Now I have a spare USB wireless adapter and
would like to try out whether it will receive the signal more clearly.

It's new system time, it's been a long time since I was in the market.
I don't do games and don't overclock. I don't need more than 3.5GB of
memory.  My current system is an AMD2700 CPU and a GB of RAM.  It only
lacks in fast IO and the new system will have multiple SATA disks.

The old original 8086 & 8088 topped out at 10Mhz (originally produced at
4.77Mhz). The 80186 & 80188 were the embedded versions of the 808x, but
otherwise pretty close to identical. Well, it looks like the question
has been answered: between 55 & 66Mhz.

i have an Asus A7A266 Socket A MB (ALiMaGiK 1 chipset, 1.25 GB DDR RAM) with
an AMD Athlon 1.4 GHz chip, running Windows XP. according to the motherboard
monitor utility, even when XP is idle the CPU temperature is running between
60 and 70 degrees C. this seems too hot, ...
