How hot can a phenom get and still function?30 Jun 2009 05:32 GMT2
I have a Phenom 9950 quad core, 2600MHz. I'm looking at the temp monitor and
it says 128C, or 262F. I kinda don't think that is correct - the fan is
running, heat sink appears to be properly attached and feels like it
normally does - warm, not too hot.
Sempron 2400+ runs at 1.67GHz, should be 2000MHz?28 Jun 2009 20:48 GMT2
According to this cpu chart here http://www.amdboard.com/amdid.html, the
Sempron 2400+ should run at 2000MHz. Every monitoring tool I've used says
it's running at 1.67GHz. Is the chart wrong? Is there something special I
have to do to get it to run at the advertised speed? I'm ...
